Day 1: Cochin to Munnar 

Depart from Cochin and drive to Munnar. Along the way, stop by Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls,  and visit a Spice Garden. Upon arrival in Munnar, check into your hotel and relax for the day. 

Day 2: Munnar Exploration 

Start your day at 9 am with a visit to Eravikulam National Park, followed by the Tea Museum. After  lunch, explore Mattuppetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, various viewpoints, Pothamedu  viewpoint, and the Botanical Garden. Note: Pre-book tickets for Eravikulam National Park and note  that the Tea Museum is closed on Mondays. 

Day 3: Munnar to Thekkady 

Leave Munnar by 9 am for the 3-4 hour drive to Thekkady. Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride at Periyar  Wildlife Sanctuary (advance booking recommended). In the evening, opt for activities like Kathakali,  Elephant rides, Elephant baths, Musical fountain shows, or Ayurvedic massages. 

Day 4: Thekkady to Alleppey Houseboat 

Depart from Thekkady at 8 am for the 4-hour journey to Alleppey. Reach the houseboat by 12-1 pm  and enjoy a relaxing cruise with lunch. Spend the night anchored on the houseboat, with a morning  cruise before checkout at 9 am. Choose between Deluxe, Premium, or Luxury categories, with meals  provided onboard. 

Day 5: Alleppey to Kanyakumari 

Start from Alleppey in the morning, aiming to arrive in Kanyakumari by 5-6 pm (depart by 8 am). If  time allows, catch the sunset upon arrival and stay overnight in Kanyakumari. 

Day 6: Kanyakumari to Kovalam 

Witness the sunrise or sunset (depending on weather) and explore Kanyakumari temple and  Vivekananda Rock (open from 8 am to 4 pm). Later, drive to Kovalam, check into your resort, and  enjoy the evening at Kovalam beach. 

Day 7: Trivandrum/Kovalam 

Spend the day exploring Trivandrum city or relaxing at Kovalam beach. Trivandrum sightseeing  includes Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple, Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, Napier Museum, Sree  Chithra Art Gallery, Zoological Park, Kanakakunnu Palace, Azhimala Temple, and the Planetarium.  Note: Temple timings are from 5 am to 11 am and 3 pm to 6:30 pm, with museums, palace, art  gallery, zoo, and planetarium closed on Mondays.
